Samsung BD-C5500 Blu Ray Player Review Specs Features

Hey guys, Im eyeing for a new Blu ray Player and I just found out about the Samsung BD-C5500 I was skeptical at first since I am really making sure that the equipments that I would use for my hometheater at home would be futureproof, in other words, the bluray player should atleast be compatible with other media that might be around in the not so distant future…

Some of the questions that I encountered were, will the Samsung BD-C5500 be able to play 3D Blu Ray movies? or even 3D videos which might be downloadable in the near future? This is one of my primary concerns since I know that having a futureproof gadget sitting back at your living room gives us a feeling of security that we wont be spending another dime again sometime in the future for a new gadget that we thought the old gadget would do, and in this case for the old Blu Ray Player to play 3d movies on a 3d bluray disc..

Samsung BD-C5500 Blu Ray PlayerI also was curious about the new features that the Samsung BD-C5500 has to bring, I mean much of the Blue ray players out there are already similar to other kind and brands of bluray players, literally, the only thing that separates them would mostly be the brand or sometimes even the price. Lets see, the Samsung BD-C5500 can play Bluray discs, can be connected through the internet through the ethernet port or most commonly called the Lan Port, it is also wireless ready, which just means one thing, you must purchase the Samsung USB Wireless Dongle which was used by previous versions of Samsung bluray players like the Samsung BD-P4600 which is not really wireless ready since you would need to purchase a separate USB Wireless dongle from Samsung to be able to use its wireless capabilities, but mostly the wireless capability that the Samsung BD-P4600 would only work for the wireless speakers and nothing more… It does not really function as a Wireless Lan unlike for now which now uses the Link Stick Wireless USB Dongle for wireless lan and even for communicating on other wireless devices that you have at home.

Of course, the Samsung BD-C5500 is capable of the BD-Live, this may not sound interesting for PS3 users since the Blueray capability of the Playstation 3 includes the BD-Live, thanks to the occasional Firmware updates that it offers to users and gamers… But for those who do not own or have not yet owned a blu ray player, then this would be really something new and something that you can take advantage of, I believe older models of blu ray players does not have the BD Live capability unlike the newer ones like the Samsung BD C-5500.

Also, another thing that one might ask is about how much would the Samsung BD-C5500 costs? From the time of this posting the price tag for this sleek gadget that is a must have for hometheaters is at $179.99 and that is priced over at Amazon.. I have no idea on other shops since it really does vary from one shop to another. Rest assured though that this bluray player would satisfy the common need that a movie viewer has…

So, if ever I would be buying a good Bluray Player then this might be a very good deal to make, at least I can watch blu ray movies at without putting holes onto my pocket. Try it and see it, the Samsung BD-C5500, you might be looking for other Samsung BD-C5500 blu ray player reviews but I think this one might satisfy the information that you really do need.

By the way, regarding the 3D capability of the Samsung BD-C5500, if you are really looking for a good 3D Blu ray player, then I would recommend the Sony BDP-S570.
